Stephen  Beall, Ph.D. Associate Professor

 

An alumnus of the Jesuit high school in Detroit, Dr. Beall

studied Classics at the University of Michigan and the

University of California, Berkeley. He began teaching at

Marquette in 1993. His research interests include

Latin prose style, liturgical translation, and Jesuit

education. He has taught Latin, Greek, and Sanskrit,

as well as various courses in Classical Civilization.

Bozena Tieszen, Ph.D. Adjunct Instructor  

 

Dr. Tieszen studied Swedish and German Philology in her native Poland and earned a Ph.D. in Linguistics at UW Madison. Her research interests include comparative Indo-European linguistics and mythology. She teaches the elementary Latin sequence and various courses in English.
